Luminous Bodies

A solo exhibition of Melinda Camber Porter's Luminous Bodies Series will open on November 2nd 2004 at Oxford University, United Kingdom. The exhibition of over 30 pen and ink drawings and watercolors are selected from 350 works which narrate in poetry and images entwined the illuminating spiritual journey by the artist as she mourned for a loved one.

The curator of the exhibition is Robin Hamlyn, Senior Curator and Head of Collections at Tate Britain. Robin is the curator of all the major Blake exhibitions at Tate Britain. He has written widely on Blake and Turner and on other major 18th and 19th century British artists.

Robin Hamlyn will also deliver a lecture on Ms.Porter's art entitled "...". "..." is being produced containing the lecture and a selection of 90 images from the series.

A short documentary on the creation of the Lumous Bodies series will be shown at the exhibition.  link to film section and add summary of Luminous journey (also word file attachment)
